SOFIA ART FAIR 2024 | Booth C1

Our selection features works that explore the relationship between contemporary art and new technologies. Each of the featured artists uses these different possibilities in their own specific way to express their own perceptions and discover new, unexpected directions.

Stanimir Genov begins by generating shapes and volumes in 3D software. These digital images serve as a starting point for the construction of landscapes in which the spatial information of non-existent environments is encoded. Through this process, he constructs a personal reality that transcends the impulses of the surrounding world.

Krassimir Terziev is an interdisciplinary artist who works in a variety of media – video, photography, painting, drawing and text. His work explores the boundaries between reality and fiction, revealing the tension between the globalized world and its material foundations. In his works he often considers technology as a symbolic bridge between the different realities we inhabit.

Natalia Jordanova focuses on exploring possible worlds by creating installations that unite the physical and digital dimensions. She uses various techniques to explore the interchangeability of the two and three dimensional, and weaves together narratives of the past and the future. Her works are subjective suggestions of what defines the present moment.

Nikolay Konstantinov is an artist whose projects involve the development of three-dimensional digital realities, and in contrast, the artist also creates physical works, often based on preliminary computer processes. He is interested in the dynamics between digital and traditional sculpture, the possibilities they provide, and their limitations.
