Antoni Rayzhekov is a conceptual media artist, living between Vienna and Sofia. He is working at the border between performing, sound and visual arts. He studied theater directing and performing at National Theater and Film Academy – Sofia, Jazz Improvisation at Vienna Konservatorium and informational technologies – as a vocational training at LearningTree, London. Since 2011, he is a associate lecturer in Experimental Media at the department of Media and Digital Technologies at the University for Applied Sciences in St.Pölten (Austria) and since 2016 a lecturer in Digital Arts at the National Art Academy – Sofia.

Antoni was artist in residence at FERALabs (2019) – Subnet Salzburg & Schmiede, a fellow of Wimmelforschung (Berlin) at Platform12 (2018) at the Bosch Research Center, an Artist in residence in 2017 at Atelier Arts Sciences – Grenoble France, as well as a fellow at Akademie Schloss Solitude – Stuttgart, among others.

Antoni participated in multiple international forums, exhibitions and festival, such as: European Forum Alpbach 2019, EXPERIMENTA 2018 Grenoble, “possible bodies” at Stadtgalerie Lehen – Salzburg (2018), KLANGMANIFESTE 2018 Echoraum – Vienna, Akademie Schloss Solitude Exhibition 2017, Elektropixel #5 – Nant, ACT Festival 2016 – Gwangju – South Korea, MusicTechFest#Berlin 2016, Fascinate Conference – Showcase at Falmouth University, UK among others.

In his artistic practice, Antoni is exploring issues related to public surveillance and the border between public and private space in the body-installation including the participation of the audience in the piece “10VE” feat. Katharina Koeller (2014/15), the notion of value in the lecture-performance and installation “#BIOCOIN” (2018), the inter-connection between artificial intelligence and human emotions in the participatory installation “BOREOUT” (2019), as well as the pandemic crisis through the statistical data in his “Pandemic sound map” (2020).
